Hello world!

I’ll be the first to admit it — riding a Segway was never on my bucket list. In fact, before our recent cruise stop in Nassau, Bahamas, I had zero interest in hopping on one of those “eco-cruiser” things. And Nassau? I hadn’t even been there before.
But life’s full of surprises — and this one was a great one.
My family and I were looking for something fun and different to do during our short time on the island. We didn’t want to spend the whole day at a beach or trapped on a bus tour. That’s when we came across Bahamas Eco Glide, a guided Segway tour led by a guy named Arthur and his energetic team.
Now, imagine trying to learn how to balance on two wheels with your whole family watching. It could’ve gone south real fast — but Arthur and his crew were incredibly patient, funny, and encouraging. Within minutes, we were gliding around like pros (okay, almost like pros). They made learning fun and gave us the confidence to roll out and explore.
The tour took us through parts of the island I didn’t expect to see — from quiet, scenic paths to local gems that aren’t part of the typical tourist track. The best part? They didn’t just show us the sights; they told stories, shared island history, and kept the vibe light and interactive the whole time.
And the local food stop? Delicious. It felt more like hanging out with new friends than a formal tour. I appreciated that they took the time to let us really soak in the moment, taste the flavors of the island, and enjoy ourselves without rushing.
So yeah, I’d never been to Nassau. I’d never touched a Segway. But somehow, this spontaneous adventure turned into one of our favorite family memories from the entire cruise.
If you’re ever in Nassau and looking for something different — something fun, relaxed, and a little adventurous — give Bahamas Eco Glide a try.
Trust me. You’ll like it.
